Installing the Gmail Add-on
Overview
Aeralis is available as a Google Workspace Add-on that integrates directly with Gmail. Follow these steps to get started.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Visit the Marketplace
Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace and find Aeralis.
Step 2: Click Install
Click the Install button on the marketplace listing. You may need to sign in with your Google account if you haven't already.
Step 3: Grant Permissions
Review the permissions requested by the add-on:
- Manage drafts and send emails when you interact with the add-on - Required to create and insert email drafts
- View your email messages when you interact with the add-on - Required to read the email you're replying to
- View your email messages when the add-on is running - Required for contextual email generation
- View your email message metadata when the add-on is running - Required to access email headers and thread information
Click Allow to grant the necessary permissions.
Step 4: Open Gmail
After installation, open Gmail in your browser. You should see the Aeralis icon in the right sidebar.
Troubleshooting
Add-on not appearing?
Try these steps:
- Refresh Gmail (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R)
- Check that you're signed into the correct Google account
- Wait a few minutes - sometimes installations take time to propagate
Permission errors?
If you're using a Google Workspace account, your administrator may need to approve the add-on for your organization.
