Writing Style
What is Writing Style?
Writing Style lets Aeralis learn how you actually write emails. Forward a few email threads to your profile's inbound address, and Aeralis will pick up on your patterns, phrasing, and voice. The result: generated emails that sound like you, not a robot.
How it works
- Each profile gets a unique inbound email address when it's created
- You forward email threads you've written to that address
- Aeralis analyzes your messages to learn your style
- Future emails generated with that profile match the way you write
The more samples you provide, the better the results. Even a handful of emails makes a noticeable difference.
Finding your inbound address
From the web dashboard
- Go to aeralis.ai/profiles
- Click on the profile you want to train
- Look for the Writing Style section
- Copy the inbound email address shown there
From the Gmail add-on
- Open Gmail and click the Aeralis icon
- Go to Manage Profiles
- Select a profile
- The inbound address is listed under Writing Style
Forwarding emails
In Gmail:
- Open an email you wrote
- Click Forward
- Paste your profile's inbound address in the To field
- Hit Send
That's it. Aeralis will process the thread within a few minutes.
You can forward multiple emails at once -- just send each one separately to the same address.
What makes a good sample
Good samples:
- Emails you personally wrote (replies, outreach, follow-ups)
- A mix of short and longer emails
- Threads where you replied multiple times (shows conversational style)
- Emails that represent the tone you want for that profile
Poor samples:
- Newsletters or marketing emails you received
- Automated notifications (order confirmations, alerts)
- Emails written entirely by someone else
- Very short replies like "Thanks" or "Got it"
Aim for emails where you wrote at least a few sentences. Aeralis needs enough text to identify your patterns.
Managing your samples
In the Writing Style section of your profile, you can:
- View sample count -- see how many email threads you've forwarded
- Clear all samples -- remove all learned style data and start fresh
- Regenerate address -- get a new inbound address (invalidates the old one)
Clearing samples resets your writing style for that profile. You'd need to forward emails again to rebuild it.
Plan limits

If you hit your limit, you can clear existing samples and forward new ones, or upgrade your plan for more.
Privacy
- Full email threads are stored so Aeralis can analyze the conversation context
- Only your messages within those threads are used as style examples
- Samples are tied to a specific profile -- they're never shared across profiles or users
- When you delete a profile, all associated writing style data is permanently deleted
- Clearing samples also permanently removes the stored threads
